XK X250 - A 5.8G FPV Quadcopter

The XK X250 Alien is a very unique little quadcopter with it's Aerodynamic design.it has pretty good speed in low mode and in high mode it really picks up speed. the attack level is great to fight wind or just to gain speed. it does flips very well and with the air pressure needle to help hold altitude works pretty good, its not as good as the altitude hold on the G.P.S quadcopters but it really makes the XK X250 Alien a very good, great, smooth and easy to fly this would be a perfect quadcopter for beginners to learn to fly FPV. Or for an expert to just have fun with. And one key return works great as long as you set your heading and use the one key in the desired position. if your looking for a low cost quadcopter to learn to fly First person view (fpv) and have some great range. then I recommend buying this from gearbest.com Gearbest has some very competitive prices with their completion. Also the xk x250 alien is well built the plastic material feels good and secure. its a buy for the price in my personal opinion I think its one heck of a great deal. because with this version you get the 5.8 fpv and camera to record or take pictures. the camera quality is only 2 or 3 megapixels but it is really good considering. if I was to compare it to say the camera on the syma x5c-1 or syma x8c stock cameras. I would say that it is way better than the stock syma cameras. if you buy this alien I recommend the 5.8 ghz Fpv over the version that comes with the 2.4ghz wifi camera. as the quad is also powered buy&n

Suggestion

I Do have a couple small things I did not like about it. and one was the trim seems to get out of adjustment and it will lean to one side but I can trim it and is fine for a while but later on it gets out of adjustment again I may be able to calibrate it and correct it. I I have not tried that yet. I had been watching other peoples videos on YouTube And I saw where one guy got an extra battery with his, and I did not I was very disappointed because I was going to use that in my reviews. the fact that xk was providing extra batteries with this quadcopter and I did not receive one. so I don't know if they just forgot to add another battery or what. or maybe the extra battery is not available with the 5.8ghz fpv version. but I wish it would have been.

It's easy to say that this is one of the best toy grade sports-flyers on the market today.
Combined with the FPV starter-kit it can be a stable base for jump towards the hobby grade racers. The unique and aggressive look fits perfectly to its agility.
It provide a really stable hovering in its class, the sleek design helps you to fight against the wind, the lights are bright and well placed to see it in the dark.
It arrives in a nice box, it feels like a really well made product.

Suggestion

Noisy.
Only one battery comes with.
The stock controller is heavily limiting its capabilities (, but as it uses v2x2 protocol, you can step further if you wish).

This is a starter FPV drone. It is fun to fly within a limited range. The FPV system has a little latency and the camera is at an angle that is ill adjusted for racing. All in all for the price it is an excellent value, will introduce a pilot to FPV flying with the included 5.8 ghz system, and has a headless mode for those just getting started and having a hard time with orientation. Don\'t expect to buy this drone and head to your next MultiGP event to enter a race, it isn\'t THAT kind of racing drone.

Bottom line you get everything to get your feet wet in this hobby, as well as FPV. Flies well, pretty stable, the lights are really visible, can be pretty fast when you want it to be. Spare parts are available, but maybe not to the level of a Syma X5C-1's parts availability. Still it is better than a lot of other unsupported models (which is pretty pointless Gearbest, why have something that could break but your customers cant find the means to repair except buy a whole new unit).

Suggestion

Arms are a bit too flexible for me, the quad itself could be lighter, you will need a different transmitter to have 100% enjoyment out of this. I.E. stock transmitter for toned down flights for recording, but then use something like a Tarantula X6 transmitter to give it that 100% rate with the camera off. Left gimbal on the stock transmitter was sticky, and would stay stuck in the top right corner position. You get what you pay for folks. Cheap isn't ALWAYS good, no matter how much you TRY to justify it.

This is a very well built little drone, the fpv works very well and seems to have a good distance on it, as does the quad. flight times vary whether you are using the fpv or not, but I get about 6-8 minutes fpv flying and about 10-11 without. This thing is a great outdoor flier, even better if you use a defferent transmitter like the trarantula x6 controller that is available for a bout 15 dollars here at gear best. I have about 8 quadcopters and this is easily top 3.

None so far, really like this one, about 10 flights in so far, no complaints.
