• Besides the App "Tuya Smart", can I use "Smart Life" to control L9 video doorbell?

  Yes. Because L9 uses Tuya Server, besides "Tuya Smart", you can also use "Smart Life".

• Where is the "Reset" button?

  On the back side of the product, there is a "Reset" button. Before you connect L9 to the WiFi network according to the instruction on the App, long press the "Reset" button for 5 seconds till the LED flashes quickly.

• Why can't I scan the QR code to connect the WiFi?

  1. Please ensure that nothing blocks your camera, and the protective film on the camera is peeled off.

  2. Please don't scan the code when there is too much reflective light on the screen of your phone;

  3. The best distance for scanning the QR code is 20 - 30cm. If you fail to scan it, please move backward slowly to adjust the distance or angle, and try again.

• After the QR code is scanned, it always shows the connection timeout. How to deal with it?

  1. L9 only supports 2.4G network, please check the working frequency of your router.

  2. Please restart the router and try again because the network environment is unstable and may lead to unsuccessful connections.

• Except from scanning the QR code, can I use other ways to connect it to the WiFi network?

  Besides scanning the QR code, matching the hotspot and WLAN direct are also feasible. When you fail to connect by scanning, it is recommended to use WLAN direct.

• Can I adjust the sensitivity of motion detection?

  Yes. When the device is connected, access to the settings by tapping the top right corner of the video interface, and choose the sensitivity you need.

• Can L9 video doorbell work without a TF card?

  Yes, it can. But without a TF card, it cannot record videos and snap photos. It is recommended to insert a TF card.

• Where is the TF card slot?

  Open the battery cover, you'll find the card slot. Please turn off the device when you insert or change the TF card.

• How much memory does the video doorbell require for the TF card? Does it still work when the memory runs out?

  It supports up to 32GB TF card, as well as 8GB and 16GB ones. When the memory runs out, the contents will be replaced automatically by the new ones.

• How much capacity does the doorbell require for 18650 batteries?

  It is recommended to use 18650 batteries with 2600mAh capacity each. It works with one battery, however, with two; the working time will be longer.

• How long can the L9 video doorbell work? Is it rechargeable?

  How long can the L9 video doorbell work? Is it rechargeable? 6 - 8 months (with 5200mAh battery, the estimate is based on 3 visits per day). It does not come with any rechargeable 18650 batteries. Please use 5V/1A or 5V/2A power adapter to charge the batteries.

• Can L9 video doorbell work with an external AC power source?

  Yes. It supports 14 - 24V AC power supply, regardless of the polarity.

• Is there any requirement of the operating system of smartphones to make the App work?

  It supports operating systems iOS 9.3 or later and Android 6.0 or later.

• How long is the WiFi transmission distance of L9 video doorbell?

  If there is a wall between the doorbell and the WiFi router, the distance can reach up to 10 meters (the distance is 50m without obstacles). Please makes the router as close to the doorbell as possible.

• How many phones can L9 video doorbell be connected to?

  It can be connected to 8 phones, and 3 users can use it simultaneously.

• How to deal with the error of the App?

  Please restart the App, or restart your phone and login the App.
