• How to pair my Amazfit T-Rex?

  Please download the Amazfit app through any app store, and register or log into your account.

  Open the app and go to "Profile – Add device – Watch – Amazfit T-Rex" to start searching for nearby devices.

  Once the watch is searched, follow the prompts on the watch to complete pairing.

  Once paired, the watch usually needs to be updated. Please wait for the updating process to finish. With the mobile network and Bluetooth on, you also need to keep the watch close to your mobile phone in order to ensure a successful upgrade.

  If you need to unpair your watch, open the Amazfit app—Amzfit T-Rex and choose "Unpair" on the device page.

• Do I need to turn on Bluetooth to connect Amazfit T-Rex all the time?

  No, you don’t need to turn on Bluetooth on your phone all the time.

  Turn on Bluetooth when you need to sync data, receive notifications, update firmware, and set alarms.

  Turn off Bluetooth, watch will still track your steps, sleep, activities and vibrate for alarms.

• What should I do if I fail to receive the notifications?

  Please understand that the content displayed on the watch is the same as what you can see from the notification bar of the mobile phone. Can you see the SMS notifications from the notification bar on your phone? Please note that alerts will only appear on the watch if they pop up on phone.

  And a pre-populated list of existing applications on your mobile device will not appear in Amazfit App. Only applications that generate notifications will appear in the list and will populate over time as notifications arrive.

  Please check the following steps to troubleshoot your issue:

  A. Enable the app alerts in the app.

  1)Open Amazfit App and tap on“Profile” in the lower right-hand corner.

  2)Tap on My devices-- Amazfit T-Rex

  3)Tap on App alerts to allow Amazfit app access notifications

  4)Turn on App Alerts

  5)Tap on “Manage apps” in the lower middle of the screen and select the app to alert.

  Note: If you toggle on “only receive app alerts when the screen is off”, you will only receive app alerts when your phone screen is off.

  B. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on your mobile phone.

  C. Check if you enable DND mode (Silent mode) on the watch. Please disable if enabled.

  D. Make sure your phone notification bar is functioning.

  F. Go to your phone settings, find app notifications, toggle off and on, reboot your phone, restart Amazfit app and try again.

  G. Go to Amazfit App-Profile-My devices Amazfit T-Rex tap Run in background to check the settings and make sure that Amazfit app runs in background

  If you are using an iPhone, please go to iPhone Settings > Notifications > MessageS/Amazfit app >Toggle on all the alerts. And please make sure you have enabled other in Amazfit app.

• Is Amazfit T-Rex water proof?

  Yes. Amazfit T-Rex has a water resistance grade of 5ATM. It can be used for water activities in shallow water such as in a swimming pool or at the beaches. However, it does NOT support sauna, hot springs and diving. Notes:

  In accordance with GB/T 30106-2013 / ISO 22820:2010, a device that's water resistant at a depth of 50 meters shall be graded as 5 ATM.

  Precautions:

  I. This product is water resistant up to 50 meters (5ATM). It can be used when swimming in pools and shallow beaches. However, it can't be used for diving, water skiing, or other activities involving high-speed water flow or immersion in non-shallow water. Please also refrain from wearing the watch while taking hot baths or saunas;

  AI.Avoid immersing the watch in water for extended

  periods of time. Do not operate the watch under water. If the watch comes into contact with water, wipe it thoroughly with a clean soft cloth;

  III. Avoid exposing the watch to any sudden temperature changes (such as using a hair dryer to blow the watch with hot air);

  IV. This product is not resistant to corrosive liquids such as acidic or alkaline solutions and chemical reagents;

  V. Water resistance is not permanent and may weaken over time. Do not re-check the watch for water resistance or re-seal it to resist water. Dropping or other impacts will also affect its water resistance. Any damage or defect caused by abuse or improper use are not covered by warranty.

• What are the specifications of Amazfit T-Rex's display and touch screen?

  Display: Amazfit T-Rex is equipped with a round 1.30 inch AMOLED screen with a 360x360 resolution.

  Touch screen: The touch screen uses Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which can effectively resist scratches arising from daily use. However, please note that the watch face glass may be damaged by hard objects such as grains of sand (comprising quartz) or keys. A layer of AF coating on top of the glass can keep the screen smooth and clean by protecting it from fingerprints or other contaminants.

  AF Coating: It is short for Anti-fingerprint coating, and is consisted of an oleo phobic layer, a hydrophobic layer and anti-contamination coating. AF coating can keep the screen smooth and clean by protecting it from fingerprints or other contaminants.

• Can I use a portable power bank to charge Amazfit T-Rex?

  Yes. It is recommended to use a portable power bank from a well-known brand to charge the device under DC 5.0 V. Note: There may be an issue with certain portable power banks, in that they can't fully charge the watch because most of them has an automatic shut-down function at full energy. This function helps to conserve energy as it stops the charging process when mobile phones throttle the charging current when they are about to be fully charged. So if the watch is about to be fully charged and the current is reduced, the portable power bank may cut off the current as they interpret that the watch has been fully charged.

• What is Battery Saver mode?

  The Battery Saver mode can minimize the power consumption of the watch and improve its battery life. With the battery saver mode on, the watch can only record steps and sleep time. All other functions are disabled. To exit the Battery Saver mode, press and hold the Select button.

• How do I measure my heart rate?

  1)Swipe left on the watch face to open heart rate, and tap on the Measure button at the bottom of the page to begin measuring your heart rate. During measurement, it's required to properly wear the watch and keep the back of the watch fairly close to your skin until the watch can measure a stable heart rate.

  2)If you want to turn on the all-day measurement function, open the Amazfit app and go to "Profile – Amazfit

  T-Rex – Heart Rate Detection—Detection methiod" and choose to turn on the automatic heart rate detection function.

  Notes: With the all-day measurement function on, the watch will regularly measure your heart rate. Swiping up twice on the watch face will display the last measured heart rate value. You can then tap it to enter the all-day heart rate details.

• What are DND mode, Smart DND mode and Timed DND?

  Turn on DND: once turned on, the watch will no longer vibrate when notifications and incoming call reminders are received from your mobile phone. Tap again to disable DND mode.

  Timed DND: You can customize the time period during which DND mode is automatically turned on or off.

  Smart DND: After you fall asleep with the watch, the watch will automatically turn on DND mode.

• How do I set the DND mode on my watch?

  DND mode needs to be set on the watch. How to set: Pull down on the watch system screen➡Moon icon on the bottom➡Tap on the moon icon to set DND mode. If the background color of the icon is white, it means the DND mode is enabled.

• My Heart Rate readings seems inaccurate. What should I do?

  Inaccurate heart rate readings appears to be due to the fit of the device band itself. A loosely fitting band that moves around at all, or that has notable gaps between the device and the skin, can easily cause an inaccurate reading. For the most accurate heart rate readings, you will want to be sure you’re wearing the device on the top of your wrist and it's fairly snug against your skin.

  As the heart rate sensor is basically a pulse oximeter which monitors the perfusion of blood to the dermis, it’s prone to inaccuracies. That’s because skin perfusion — a measure of how much blood flows through your skin-varies significantly from person to another. Especially the ones who have dark skin, hairy wrists, tattoo, and scar.

  If you’re seeing a reading that doesn’t look quite right, please check the following:

  1)Take a second measure if you thought the reading isn't right.

  2)Keep it close to your skin and do not swing the arm

  3) Clean the heart rate sensor

  If you still have the same issue with the latest ROM version, please open Amazfit App, tap Profile, swipe up till you find Behavior tagging, tap Behavior tagging and Running. Keep the device near to your phone and make sure there are no objects between them. Then, tap start and submit data with the following steps after you finish the workout.

• What kinds of exercises are included in my watch?

  Amazfit T-Rex supports a total of 13 workout types: Outdoor running, Walking, Outdoor cycling, Treadmill, Indoor cycling, Pool swimming, Open water swimming, Elliptical trainer, Climbing, Trail running, Skiing, Free training, Outdoor hiking (Triathlon support will be added later). Outdoor running, Walking, Outdoor cycling, Open water swimming, Climbing, Trail running, and Skiing also support workout track recording through GPS.

  After unlocking, short press the SELECT button on the watch face to quickly open the workout list. After entering the workout list, swipe up or down on the screen, or short press the UP or DOWN button to choose the workout item you want to start. Tap the item on the screen or short press the SELECT button to enter the corresponding item.

• How can I use the running function?

  1) Workout preparation

  After entering the Outdoor Running preparation page, the watch will automatically search for the GPS. Once it’s available, tap "GO" or short press the SELECT button to enter the outdoor running mode and start timing. You can also swipe up on the screen or short press the DOWN button to switch between starting and settings. Opening outdoor running will turn on the GPS positioning function (while positioning it will prompt you that there would be better signals in open areas, and there will be a Skip button at the bottom, and if you choose to skip, GPS will keep on automatically positioning in subsequent running workouts, but previous tracks that have not been successfully positioned won't be recorded, which will affect your mileage, pace, tracks, etc.)

  After the GPS positioning is processed

  successfully, tap on Start to begin a count-down, and a prompt of "Wearing the watch tight helps make the heart-rate measurement more accurate" will be shown on the watch, then you'll be taken to the running data interface.

  2) Workout in progress

  During workouts, the watch will display the current workout related data in real time, such as duration, distance, pace/speed, and heart rate.

  The watch screen will not be turned off after entering the Workout interface, but it will be automatically locked during the workout process.

  3) Pause the workout

  Short press the SELECT button to pause the workout, and short press the button again to resume the workout.

  4) End the workout

  After entering the Paused page, tap "Save" to end the workout, tap "Continue" to return to the Workout page, and tap "Give up to give up saving the current workout. Once the workout is finished, your watch will display and save the details of this workout, and you can view them again on your watch or in the Amazfit app later. • How about GPS positioning?

  When you enter the Workout Preparation page for an outdoor exercise such as running, the watch will automatically start GPS positioning and alert you as soon as your location is confirmed. The watch will turn off GPS positioning automatically when you exit the Workout Preparation page or finish the workout.

  The GPS searching process will last for 5 minutes maximum. If positioning is not successful after that, you will be prompted to repeat the positioning process. If you do not start exercising within 10 minutes after you are successfully positioned, the watch will automatically turn off positioning to reduce power consumption. You will have to repeat the positioning process if you want to start exercising again.

  1) Positioning tips:

  GPS positioning should be performed in an open area outdoors. Please wait for the positioning process to complete before starting your exercise. If you are in a crowd, raising your watch to your chest level may speed up the positioning process.

  2) Assisted Global Positioning System (AGPS):

  AGPS uses the orbital information of the GPS satellites help the watch perform GPS positioning faster.

  When the watch is connected with your phone via Bluetooth, the watch will actively synchronize and update AGPS data with Amazfit app every day. If the watch hasn’t synchronized this data with Amazfit app for seven consecutive days, the AGPS data will expire, and the positioning speed may be affected.

• Why the sleep data is not accurate?

  The way our algorithm is designed is to track movement during sleep under typical sleep hours (18:00 p.m. - 10:00 a.m). If you are sleeping outside of a typical sleep hour range, the tracker will not record or display your sleep

  Sleep detection is mainly based on "body movement" + "heart rate". Body movement refers to physical activity, more specifically, the wrist activity of wearing band/watch (so there may be differences in the results of wearing sleep). When the body movement is small and the heart rate is low during sleep, it is considered as deep sleep.Heavy body movement, high heart rate is considered a light sleep.

• How to use touch screen when swimming?

  To protect the screen from unintentional touching and water interference, the watch will disable touch screen functions after you start swimming. During this time, you can use the watch buttons to operate. The watch will re-enable touch screen functions after you finish swimming.

• Which settings can I make in the Exercise Settings?

  Swipe left to find "Workout" on the main interface of the watch to find "Workout Settings", and taping on it will enable you to set exercise goals, exercise reminders, and real-time heart rate, etc.

  The exercise goal supports three types: mileage, duration, and calories. When the set goal is achieved, the watch will vibrate to remind you.

  The workout reminder supports five types: distance, pace, safe heart rate, heart rate zone, and speed. With a reminder set, the watch will vibrate to remind you as long as the set value is reached during workouts.

  With the auto pause on, the watch will automatically detect the workout status. When the workout is stopped, the watch will automatically suspend the current exercise. And the watch will re-record the data when the workout is resumed.

  The real-time diagram supports demonstrating the real-time heart rate and pace. With the real-time diagram on, a curve is drawn for the fluctuations of the heart rate or pace during workouts.

  Notes: Some workout types don't support the above four settings. The settings might slightly vary in workout type.

• Are Amazfit T-Rex charger and watch straps compatible with the GT series?

  Amazfit T-Rex charger is compatible with the GT series, but the watch straps are not.

• Does Amazfit T-Rex support customized watch face?
