Xiaomi Mi Band 3 Smart Bracelet Steps Count Sleep Monitor

The screen is larger than in Xiaomi Mi Band 2 - it is an OLED panel with a diagonal of 0.78. This is a touch screen to come often requires a few clicks or sweeps around the screen to get to the menu we need. It improves with time, when we get used to the device.
At the bottom of the screen there is a touch button that you can hold to activate functions, or press to return. It worked without any reservations.
The screen itself is black and white, with a slight blue tint to white, and the resolution is 128 x 80 pixels.
The Mi band 3 display performs well in sunlight, everything is still legible and clear.
The strap itself is made of silicone, it is comfortable to wear throughout the day - even during sweating, Xiaomi does not yet offer any other materials for straps, but there are other sellers who sell alternative straps.

However, we will never achieve a perfectly accurate result from the wristband.
On the back of the band there is a heart rate sensor that is directly on the skin. It is not always turned on, so you will not constantly record heart rate; instead, you must activate it to get the result and record it in the Mi Fit application.
The headband also displays 3-day weather in a place that we set in advance in the application.
The 'EXERCISES' option is also available, when we enable it, the stopwatch and the calorie counter start off. In addition, we can see our pulse and the hour.
We can take a swimsuit for the pool or shower because it is waterproof up to 50 meters.
We also have notifications that we previously selected in the MI Fit app. We can later see the history of the last 5 notifications on the armband. This is a very useful function.
The headband also has an alarm clock available, and we set it, of course, via the application on the phone. alarm clock works, the alarm clock vibrates what is to wake us up, we turn off the alarm clock by holding down the button at the bottom of the screen.

An interesting function of the band is also Sleep Monitoring, we can see how much we slept, how much our deep and shallow sleep lasted. Additionally, in the application, we can compare our time with other users at the same age.

Xiaomi Mi Band 3 weighs less than 20g, we do not feel that we wear it. The dimensions of the band are 17.9 x 46.9 x 12 mm.
The Mi Banda 3 battery has 110mAh, which lasts for about 15 days of continuous use. It charges from 0-100 in about 2 hours. This is a very good time.

It responds well to touches and swipes, and the single capacitive button is the only other point of interaction you’ll have with this smart wearable. Everything else is pretty darn sleek and feels very much like a refinement of previous models.

With a silicone band, you get what you pay for — comfort at the expense of style. However, it is possible to swap out the band if you’d like to. There are plenty of cheap silicone bands on eBay and Amazon that give you the option of a different color device without having to spend a fortune.

I personally like a silicone band as it’s much more comfortable than any other type of strap, though it isn’t perfect as the clip will no doubt become slack after a long period of wear. It’s kind of a good thing that these devices are so cheap.

Waterproofing is guaranteed up to 50 meters or 5 atmospheres which means the Mi Band 3 is the perfect swimming companion. Overall, this entire package reminds me very much of Fitbit Alta, albeit slightly less angular, though that device costs nearly triple the price of the Mi Band 3.

In usage, the menu is very basic with dot-matrix style icons denoting your menu choice and just pressing and holding the capacitive button enters submenus and activates the extra modes. Those modes include heart rate monitoring, basic step counters, distance tracking, calories burned, weather and workout tracking.

Using the workout tracker you can get a better handle on your daily exercises and it works well and, in my opinion, pretty accurately. I wear the band almost all the time rather than a normal watch and it doesn’t impact my comfort, especially when I play soccer or if I head to the gym.

The biggest downside is the inability to track anything more than running and outdoor cycling workouts, so you may have to use a combination of devices if you want to work out just how many calories you burned after completing a 5×5 deadlift session.

Beyond the exercise management and tracking, you can get basic push notifications to your wrist. These are simply pushed from your device to the Mi Band 3 and need to be setup to do so, otherwise, you’ll be left waiting for non-existent buzzes on your band when your phone gets a message.

With its 110mAh battery. It can easily last up to 20 days and I can confirm that this really is the case, the battery is simply superb. Avoid setting heart rate tracking to every minute as this reduces battery life to under 3 days.

The tiny OLED only powers on when you tap the display or the capacitive button, so there is some serious power saving there too. I’ve charged my device a grand total of once — that was over a week ago — I still have over 70% battery. If battery life was a concern to you, rest assured you’ll have no issues with this device.

Produit fantastique. Après avoir déballé la Mi Band 3 et l'avoir fixe sur mon poignet, j'ai tout de suite été frappée par sa beauté. Il présente une surface très lisse, incurvée et brillante, qui a une apparence et une sensation bien meilleures que celles du Mi Band 2. Il coûte beaucoup plus cher mais est de qualité supérieure. Ne vous attendez pas à des protections d'écran décentes, car elles sont généralement inutiles avec le verre bombé. Je ne sais pas si c'est du verre résistant aux égratignures, mais le Mi Band 2 a toujours eu l'impression d'être en plastique, le 3 ressemble à du vrai verre. Mon instinct me dit qu'il ne se rayera pas aussi facilement que sur l'écran de la Mi Band 2. La fonction de vibration n’est pas aussi forte qu’elle était sur le Mi Band 2 mais est suffisante.L’écran est nettement plus lumineux que celui du Mi Band 2. Si je devais deviner, je dirais qu’il est environ 30- 50% plus lumineux que même un nouveau Mi Band 2. Certaines personnes disent que l'écran OLED du Mi Band 2 se dégradait et que le Mi Band 3 était seulement plus brillant que celui d'un ancien Mi Band 2. Cette couche était à l'intérieur de la sangle, où la capsule est attachée. Cette couche de plastique s'est détachée au bout d'un certain temps (c'est ce qui est arrivé à Mi Band 2). C'est à ce moment que tout a commencé à se décomposer lentement. Le Mi Band 3 n'a rien de tel. C'est la sangle et la capsule, rien d'autre. En raison du nouveau mécanisme de la sangle, le Mi Band 3 est vraiment mieux, et plus longtemps, à l'exception de la sécurité. FONCTIONNALITÉ DE L'OUVERTURE L'écran tactile fonctionne correctement. Parfois, vous devez répéter un geste de balayage, probablement parce que la zone tactile est limitée à la zone d'écran et si vous commencez à balayer de l'extérieur de cette zone, cela ne fonctionne parfois pas.
