GANZO FIREBIRD F710 Portable Axis Locking Foldable Camping Hunting Knife 440C Stainless Steel Blade

Un autre bon couteau de chez Ganzo. Il pèse 151g. Il a une lame épaisse et qui semble très robuste. Il s'ouvre tout en souplesse à l'aide de l'axis lock ou des thumb studs. La lame est plutôt bien centrée sans que ce soit la perfection non plus, elle n'a aucun jeu. L'ensemble du couteau donne une impression de robustesse. Le clip peut se placer à droite ou à gauche et le couteau se porte avec la pointe de la lame vers le haut. Le grip est excellent ainsi que l'ergonomie. Le clip de poche est plutôt rigide et comme les plaquettes sont très texturées ça force un peu pour l'accrocher dans la poche. Mais franchement, pour le prix c'est vraiment sans importance tellement le reste est bon. Ce n'est pas le genre de couteau que je sortirais en public ou au restaurent, il est impressionnant avec son coté "tactic".

So let's start off by stating the obvious. This is a copy of a very popular Benchmade knife. This does not mean it is bad in any way shape of form however. It is actually really good! It has 440C steel which is not the hardest metal available but it is easy to resharpen and does not dull as quickly as you would expect it to. The edge comes pretty good out of the box and feels good in the hand. In my title I wrote "an awesome backup knife", but honestly if might as well function as a primary knife if you want it to. It is great for opening boxes and when the blade is in the forward position the axis lock does a great job of keeping it in place. Overall, definitely worth taking a look at.

Suggestion

For the price this knife does not have many cons. However if we are going to nitpick, I would say the liner lock could have been made a little easier to open at first. After a while it smooths out and it works like a charm. (You can make it smoother right out of the box by taking the sides off and pulling the spring back.

Being one of the longer running Ganzo production knives, I ordered this knife purely on it's aggressive looks, but fully expecting it to be a knife with the stiff axis lock of the older models. Was I surprised when the lock moved using only one finger and the blade opened and closed smooth as butter out of the box. Not a lightweight knife, but everything is perfect - sharp, solid lockup, no blade play, centered blade, left and right position pocket clip. love the blade shape. Don't know whether Ganzo improved the 710's action over time, but my fears were unfounded and I should have gotten it a lot sooner.

The grip is smoother, yet gives you a confident handle. The g-lock is so smooth. The spring of the g-lock has the perfect tightness. Also, the knofe feels a lot lighter than the g-710. I’m a true believer that ganzo is getting sooo much better. Also Gearbest is getting sooo much better! Tried them for four years a couple times, checking to see if they solved their shipping problem, and the disd at last! Don’t know what made me happier, the knives I got or Gearbest

Really like this knife. At first I wasn't sure, but it has really grown on me. There is a lot going on with the blade. It is heavy duty and cuts like a dream. Also does fine work with ease. There is a lot going on with the scales too. Fine details abound. The handle fills my hand well with no hot spots. G lock works perfectly. No blade play in any direction. Catch myself staring at all of the fine details of this knife. It's in my carry rotation and am very happy with it.

It looks very cool. The blade shape is very nice, with a neat clip point at the end making for a strong tip on the blade. The 440C stainless steel is a very good choice on a budget knife, it is usually only used on knives that cost at least $50 I like how the handle is shaped, it feels very good in the hand. The axis lock works flawlessly all the time, never a single issue with it.

the only con is that it only comes in black - I wish they had it in some other colours like grey or brown or even RED

Qui Devo dire che siamo su un alto livello. la costruzione è bellissima ,la lama è di un tagliente incredibile la apertura è fluida senza nessuna incertezza.Nessuno e dico nessuno gioco fra struttura e Lama.Bellissima la lama sia come dimensione che come volume è veramente notevole ottimo l’appoggio e il Grip ,anche per i lavori di fino.veramente un coltello di altissimo livello,penso una delle migliori realizzazioni di Ganzo.
