Chuwi Corebook 2-in-1 Detachable Screen Tablet PC

This product is of good quality and has the versatility to be used as both a laptop and a tablet PC. The touch screen is also sensitive and responsive. I purchased this because I wanted to have a machine that I can use at home and on the road. The reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 stars are actually more personal then reflects the quality of the product.

One reason is the soft, flexible based keyboard and kickstand to hold up the screen. This design is OK if placed on a desk or similar hard, flat surface. But when on the go, say on a train to place on your laptop, or in an aircraft and place on a tray, it becomes difficult to use. In this sense I think the 360-degree flip type will be more practical to suit my computing style and to have a tablet PC as a separate product.

The second reason is the weight. To use as a tablet it is heavy. When you disconnect the screen from the base keyboard, the screen must contain obviously the battery, and the complete computer cocmponents. So, it is heavy and your arm will become tired after a short while if you do not have some base support for the tablet form factor. In this respect I think it is better to have a separate tablet, and for the computer to get a 2-in-1 that is 360-degree convertible.

Agein, these two (2) reasons is my personal preferences and has nothing to do with the quality of the computer. For those who like the form factor of a detachable screen, I think I can highly recommend a machine like this for that purpose. Thank you.

Teuer aber gut

Ein schönes großes und bestens ablesbares Display. Für die normalen Anwendungen (surfen, lesen, Word) ist das Tablet perfekt. Es ist aber relativ schwer in der Hand. Tolle Verarbeitung mit abgerundeten Ecken, Alugehäuse und 3D-Display. Sehr edel. WLAN Empfang (5ghz)schnellt und mit guter Reichweite. Updates werden ohne Probleme gezogen. Ich habe des Tablet 1 x zurückgesetzt und neu durchgestartet. Seitdem funktioniert leider das Touchpad der Tastatur nicht mehr.

Overall a really good product!

Chuwi CoreBook CWI542 is a really fast and convinient 2 in 1 laptop/tablet! I use it mainly as a laptop and rarely as a tablet and loved it! My main usage is writing code/browsing/ on it and it's performing great! It can run smoothly light indie games (though I haven't tried any mid-heavy games).
The stylus and the keyboard work perfectly, although the mouse is not performing well at all.
Overall it's a great value for money!

Value for money

This is a nice hybrid tablet-laptop for its price. It has a decent build and the performance is very good.
However, is a little bulky when it is used as a tablet, the keyboard can only be used as a flat keyboard. The screen does not perform well under bright sunlight.

Suggestion

Didn't realize it wasn't in stock as GearBest site was showing "available" - so I had to wait a month for stock to arrive.
To be fair, it's understandable as the tablet was very new and Chuwi apparently didn't deliver enough stock, but perhaps the description could be clearer. I was new to GearBest so I'm as much to blame.
