    Perfect to have a private network of quality in Ethernet and Wifi
    Product according to the description.

    This Wifi Router is perfect for a quality private network.

    I chose it for its 8 Ethernet ports and dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5Ghz). The performance is very good and the setting is intuitive and very complete (nothing to do with the few settings proposed by the NB6 of SFR). I flashed it easily with the firmware "Asuswrt-Merlin".

    I bought it during a flash sale, it was sold at 185.49 € (01/04/2018).

    Rm: I am French and I ordered it directly from China so there was no European power adapter provided in the package, the firmware was in Chinese and the Wifi was set to Asian standards. To correct these points, I helped myself with this page (https://guillaumebraillon.fr/routeur-asus-rt-ac88u-livebox-4/amp/). Once the settings changed, no difference compared to a product bought in Europe.

    I recommend this Wifi Router and I do not regret my purchase.

    Très content de mon achat!
    J'ai trouvé ce site grâce a shopbot,le routeur est présentement à la moitié du prix auquel on peut le trouver au Canada.Avant de l'acheter,j'ai fouillé un peu le site et j'avais vu qu'il y avait des entrepôts aux Usa mais a ma grande surprise le tracking du colis provenait de Chine...J'ai commencé a avoir un peu peur des frais de douanes ou encore d'être pris avec un routeur Chinois et limité par ces drivers.(les lois d'ondes des pays) Finalement j'ai reçu mon colis après 7 jours et a ma grande surprise le routeur a détecté ma langue et mon fuseau horaire automatiquement sans mentionné qu'il détecte lui même qu'il doit se mettre a jour ;) Très satisfait de la vitesse et de la porté comparé a mon RT-N66U.
    Suggestion
    Petit bémol a bien retenir!
    Au début le routeur avait une porté similaire a mon RT-N66U.
    Il faut impérativement aller dans l'onglet /Sans Fil/Professionnel et mettre région a United States sinon la puissance de transmission est brimé et il faut aussi être légale avec les ondes Nord Américaine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels#cite_note-t18-9-6 Il se peut que la Chine utilise #12 et #13
    2ième bémol: ma boîte a été ouverte sois par les douanes ou sois par GearBest qui on mit un transformateur/power supply nord américain.(Asus) Le plastique du routeur était scellé alors perso je m'en plein pas.

    The router have an international language firmware,just remember to set you're country in the advanced wireless option to be legal and have a better transmission than China https://w.wol.ph/2015/08/28/maximum-wifi-transmission-power-country/ In my test when the router was set to China I got a similar power result like my old RT-N66U... but Usa was real beast ;) (sorry for my English)

    One Cool Router
    I have used Netgear, Belkin, and Lynksis routers, and I must say Asus is by far the best one I have used to date.
    The Stock Firmware has plenty of options and is easy to use. I like the parent functions and ability to see where the kids are spending there time online with the mobile devices. I also like the ability to set the times they can access the internet on each device. We have it connected to a network storage through the usb 3 port. and it works well.

    It is a cool router and I like the 8 100/1000 ports on the back. I was able to consolidate my last router and switch into one.
    Suggestion
    The only drawback is on the network storage when you create accounts with limited access it only works with directory's in the root system and I have yet to figure out on the stock firmware how to set permissions on sub-directories. For example if I have a root folder Movies and 2 sub-directories Kids and Adults. I can not create access to kids and deny adults unless I move the two directories up to the root directory.

    No more buffering and no more slow online gaming. Everything just works perfect. So far handling 20+ devices with no issue which was the real problem with previous routers. Range is much better now too. 5 GHz is outstanding - I used to get between 10 to 30 Mbps now getting 120 to 170 Mbps. Parental control is great as is the app analyser. Make certain you use a good Ethernet cable - cat 6 or cat 7 when connecting to this device. Anything below Cat 5 is no good.
    Suggestion
    None and well worth the money.
